Property

PROPERTY is the largest by value asset of the Methodist Church and it is the responsibility of all Managing Trustees to ensure that the buildings are cared for and maintained.

Quinquennial report is an essential part of knowing the condition of the buildings and an indication of the amount to be budgeted over the coming five years.

It is also incumbent of the Managing Trustees to ensure our buildings are modified and improved to ensure they are fit for the purpose of Mission – the very reason they were built.

The District is able to provide support to Circuit Property Secretaries and Managing Trustees in ensuring property is looked after and improved.

The consents website, through which all property projects over £5000 or any project on a listed building or building in a conservation area must be given authorisation, Annual Returns are recorded, statistics are produced and where much more information and support is available to us, is an essential tool in helping us to manage our properties. To access the consents website, click here.

District staff are able to assist with any aspect of completing applications or reporting information.

If you would like help with any property matters, contact either of people on our contact form.
